Episode 163: “Raging Bull” (1980): Movie Review
This episode, Chris has Derek go back and watch Martin Scorsese’s cinematic masterpiece “Raging Bull”. Instead of breaking down the film scene-by-scene (like they usually do), the guys explore some of the themes of the film such as: the Italian-American experience, the 1980 Academy Awards (including who should have won several awards), black & white film, jealousy, toxic masculinity, boxing and the use of mirrors.
For the trivia segment of the show, Derek quizzes Chris on Robert De Niro’s film roles of the 1990’s.
